DTC Troubleshooting: P00B6(3.0L Engine): Inspection

Connector Visual Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Procedure
• • Check the connectors for a secure connection or for loose terminals at the following components:

    ECT sensor 2

    ECT sensor 1

    MAF sensor/IAT sensor 1

    IAT sensor 2

• Normal Conditions
• • Conditions at the connections and terminals are OK.

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the connections or terminals.

ECT sensor 2 Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
• • ECT sensor 2: removed and cooled to the ambient temperature

• Procedure

• Note the ambient temperature.
• Connect the ECT sensor 2 2P connector, but do not install ECT sensor 2.
• Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
• Confirm the HDS [ECT Sensor 2].

• Normal Conditions
• • HDS [ECT Sensor 2] is almost the same as the ambient temperature.

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with ECT sensor 2.
