DTC P2826: Short in Line Pressure Solenoid Valve A Circuit: General Description

Line pressure solenoid valve A is installed on the transmission housing. It is controlled by the ON/OFF signal from the powertrain control module (PCM) to regulate line pressure to low line pressure or normal line pressure. The PCM commands the driver circuit to turn on line pressure solenoid valve A. The circuit detects malfunctions such as a circuit short or open, and sends back a return signal during the PCM's command. When the return signal does not match the PCM command to turn on line pressure solenoid valve A, the PCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
