Radiator Replacement

  1. Drain the engine coolant (see COOLANT REPLACEMENT  ).
  2. Remove the bulkhead cover (see FRONT BULKHEAD COVER REPLACEMENT ).
  3. Do the battery removal procedure (see BATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ).
  4. Remove the battery base (see step 10 ENGINE REMOVAL ).
  5. Remove the A/C condenser fan shroud assembly, (see A/C CONDENSER FAN SHROUD REMOVAL  ).
  6. Remove the radiator fan shroud assembly (see RADIATOR FAN SHROUD REMOVAL  ).
  7. Disconnect the lower radiator hose (A).

  8. Remove the power steering hose clamp (B).
  9. Disconnect the ATF cooler hoses (C) from the transmission, then plug the ATF cooler hoses and the lines.
  10. Disconnect the ATF cooler hoses (A), then plug the ATF cooler hoses and the lines.

  11. Remove the radiator upper brackets (A), then pull up the radiator (B).

  12. Remove the other parts from the radiator.
  13. Install the radiator in the reverse order of removal. Make sure the upper and lower cushions are set securely.
  14. Install the battery base (see step 54 under ENGINE INSTALLATION ).
  15. Do the battery installation procedure (see BATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ).
  16. Refill the transmission with ATF (see ATF LEVEL CHECK ).
  17. Fill the radiator with engine coolant, and bleed the air from the cooling system (see COOLANT CHECK  ).
  18. Clean up any spilled engine coolant.
