When the navigation display detects the BACK UP LIGHT signal (when the gear selector is in R) for at least 0.5 seconds, the navigation display turns on the rearview camera. The navigation display delays for the 0.5 seconds to prevent changing the screen image too frequently because of incorrect gear selection.
