Brush Holder Test: Inspection

  1. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between positive brush (A) and negative brush (B). If there is continuity, replace the brush holder assembly. See Fig 1.
  2. Measure brush length. If it is shorter than the service limit, replace the brush holder assembly. See Fig 2.
