July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

DTC 64: Sensor Power Source

  1. Disconnect VSA modulator/control unit 42-pin connector and pressure sensor 3-pin connector (located on VSA modulator/control unit). See Figure. Using DVOM, check for continuity between ground and VSA modulator/control unit 42-pin connector terminal No. 42 (Green wire). See Figure. If continuity is indicated, repair short circuit to ground in Green wire between VSA modulator/control unit 42-pin connector terminal No. 42 and pressure sensor 3-pin connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If continuity is not indicated, go to next step.
  2. Locate yaw rate/lateral acceleration sensor in trunk. See Figure. Disconnect sensor 6-pin connector. Disconnect steering angle sensor 4-pin connector. Check for continuity between ground and VSA modulator/control unit 42-pin connector terminal No. 39. See Figure. If continuity is indicated, locate and repair short circuit to ground in Yellow wire between yaw rate/lateral acceleration sensor, steering angle sensor and VSA modulator/control unit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If continuity is not indicated, go to next step.
  3. Clear DTCs. See CLEARING TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTICS. Test drive vehicle at 6 MPH or more. Recheck DTCs. If DTC 64 resets, check for poor connections at VSA modulator/control unit. Repair as necessary. If connections are okay, substitute known-good VSA modulator/control unit and retest system.
