Wiper Blade: Service and Repair

Joint-Free Wiper Blades

To remove wiper blades, wiper arms must be driven into "service/winter position". The "service/winter position" is activated by operating windshield wiper lever in "one-touch wiping" position within 10 seconds after switching off ignition.

Removing

• Right and left wiper blades may not be interchanged during installation.

• Joint-free wiper blades are very flexible. When lifting the wiper blades away from the windshield, only grasp them in the area of the wiper blade mount.

- Move the wiper arms to the "service/winter position".

- Fold up the wiper arm.

- Press the button - 1 - and pull the wiper blade mount - 3 - out of the wiper arm - 2 - until the stop is reached.






- Swivel the wiper blade as depicted in the figure and pull the wiper blade mount - 3 - in the direction of the arrow off of the wiper arm - 2 -.

Installing






- Slide the wiper blade mount - 3 - onto the wiper arm - 2 - to the stop.

- Make sure that the button - 1 - in the wiper arm - 2 - engages securely.

- Carefully fold the wiper arm back onto the windshield.
