Leak Detection Pump: Service and Repair

Removing

- Remove the right rear wheel housing liner..

- Remove the right rear underbody panel, if equipped.

- Disconnect the connector - 2 -.






- Disconnect the lines - 3 and 4 -. Refer to => [ Coupling, Disconnecting ] Service and Repair.

- Loosen both nuts - arrows - and remove the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister - 2 - downward from the bracket.






If the EVAP canister gets caught while still in the bracket, insert a suitable tool through the hole - A - and gently push the catch toward the luggage compartment.

- Set the EVAP canister down and disconnect both lines from the leak detection pump.

- Loosen the 3 bolts and remove the leak detection pump.

Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Use a new clamp.

Leak detection pump screw tightening specification, see - item 9 - in the => [ EVAP System Component Overview ] EVAP System Component Overview.

Attach the vent lines so that they click into place. Refer to => [ Coupling, Disconnecting ] Service and Repair.
