Connection Points For Components And Refrigerant Lines
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2022 Volkswagen ID.4 and 2021 Volkswagen ID.4. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
There are various block connection versions used as component connection points.
A - Loss Protection Device
- Replacing. Refer to Seals of the adjusting bolts of the pressure and temperature sensors .
- Remove by hand
- Install without oil
- Note the different versions. Refer to Parts Information.
B - Seal
- Replacing. Refer to Seals of the adjusting bolts of the pressure and temperature sensors .
- Remove by hand
- Install without oil
- Before installing, check the sealing surfaces on the components for contamination or damage.
- No specific installation position required.
- Note the different versions. Refer to Parts Information.
- The seal seals the refrigerant circuit. Seals made out of metal (with a special coating) are currently used for refrigerant R744. These metal rings seal off the connection points between components that are bolted/screwed on and the refrigerant circuit.
-- Check the holes and threads in the block connections before assembling; clean or re-thread if necessary.
-- Check the sealing surfaces on the block connections for damage (scratches, for example) before assembling; if damaged, replace the respective component.
-- Replace the seal -B- and the loss protection device -A- before assembling. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
- For more information and notes on the seals. Refer to SEALS .
- The connection points on the refrigerant circuit are sealed by the contact pressure of both components on the seal. If the bolt is not installed tightly, there will not be enough contact pressure to seal the connection.
- For the allocation of the seal -B- and the loss protection device -A-. Refer to the Parts Information.
