Overview - Rearview Camera System
The rearview camera system assists the driver when driving in reverse by providing the driver with an image of the traffic situation behind the vehicle via the Front Information Display Control Head -J685-.
The rearview camera system is switched on when engaging the reverse gear.
The rearview camera system consists of the following components:
- The Rearview Camera -R189-,
- The Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- with the Front Information Display Control Head -J685-
NOTE:
Familiarity with the function and operation of the rearview camera system is needed if there are customer concerns.
Refer to the Owner's Manual for additional information.
The rearview camera system does not need to be calibrated.
Fault Finding is performed using the Guided Fault Finding on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
