Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

-- Turn off the ignition and all electrical equipment.

-- Remove the instrument cluster trim. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL DECORATIVE TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the screws -arrows- from the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- -1-.

-- Pull the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- just far enough out of the installation slot so that the connectors on the back of the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- can be reached.

-- Squeeze the safety mechanism on the connector -arrows-.

-- Move the locking bracket in direction of the -arrow-. The connector will be pushed out at the same time.

-- Disconnect the connectors -arrows- from the antenna connections.

-- If equipped, release and disconnect the connector for external multimedia device connector.
