Windshield Wiper, Bringing Into Service Position

CAUTION:
Risk of damaging the front lid by moving the windshield wipers back to the basic setting.
- Do not drive a vehicle with windshield wiper arms folded up.
- The windshield wipers automatically retract to their rest position when the windshield wiper switch is activated or when driving faster than 6 km/h.
CAUTION:
Risk of damaging the wiper blades due to freezing.
- If frost is present, check to see if the wiper blades are frozen.
NOTE:
If the windshield wiper motor is to be run during the procedure, the front lid must be completely closed, otherwise the power supply to the wiper motor will be interrupted.
-- Switch the ignition on.
-- Switch off the ignition.
-- Activate "one-touch wiping".
- The windshield wipers run in the "service position".
