Electromechanical Parking Brake, Checking

Activating "T U V mode" :

• No error with influence on the roller test stand function present (for example speed sensor error).
• The seat belt is buckled.
• Rear axle in the one-axle roller test stand
• No gear is selected.
• Drive ready mode is activated (minimum 3 seconds).
• The front wheels must be stationary (minimum 3 seconds).
• The rear wheel must rotate for at least 3 seconds non-stop between 2 km/h (1 mph) and 9 km/h (6 MPH).

"T U V mode" is indicated when the yellow Electric Parking/Hand Brake Malfunction Indicator Lamp -K214- is displayed.

The electromechanical parking brake does not close completely the first time the "T U V mode" button is pressed.

Pressing the Electromechanical Parking Brake Button -E538- two times in a row gradually increases the tension force.

• First operation: move both sides of the parking brake to the contact point
• Second operation: both sides of the parking brake are fully actuated

Ending "T U V mode" :

As soon as the condition for T U V mode is no longer fulfilled, T U V mode is immediately left, for example:

• Front wheels, speed greater than 0 km/h
• Rear wheels, speed less than 2.5 km/h (2 MPH) or greater than 9 km/h (6 MPH)
