Rain/Light Recognition Sensor, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Turn off the ignition and all electrical equipment.

-- Place the ignition key outside of the vehicle interior, to avoid an unintentional start of the vehicle.

-- Remove the interior rearview mirror. Refer to INTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING Removing and Installing.

-- Disconnect the connector -3-.

-- Release the spring retainers -2- using a narrow screwdriver -5- in direction of -arrow-.

-- Wait one minute so that the silicone pad can be removed without leaving any residue.

-- Loosen the Rain/Light Recognition Sensor -G397- -4- by moving it back and forth.

-- Remove the Rain/Light Recognition Sensor -G397- -4- from the mount -1-.
