Engine, Securing To Engine And Transmission Holder

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Spring Clip Pliers
Engine and Gearbox Bracket: VAS6095A with Engine Support: 3269
Shop Crane: VAS6100
Shop Crane - Drip Tray: VAS6208

Secure the engine to the : VAS6095A when working on the engine.

When a repair is to be performed on the chain drive use the : 3269 .

Procedure

-- Remove the transmission. Refer to ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION, SEPARATING .

-- Engage the : 3033 as follows and lift out of the engine using : VAS6100 from : VAG1383A .

Vibration damper side: item 3.

Drive plate side: item 11.

When Using the : VAS6095A with the Universal Mounts:

-- Secure the engine to the : VAS6095A as shown.

When Using the : 3269 :

-- Tighten the : 3269 as shown on the cylinder block.
