Engine, Installing

-- Raise the drivetrain up until it comes into contact with the body using the : VAS6131  . Be careful of the installed :T10300  when doing this.

-- Attach the subframe to the vehicle. Refer to SUBFRAME .

-- Reconnect all lines, hoses and electrical connections that were disconnected for the removal procedure.

-- Install the plenum chamber cover. Refer to PLENUM CHAMBER COVER .

-- Install the right and left wiper arms. Refer to WINDSHIELD WIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Fill the power steering fluid. Refer to appropriate service information. .

-- Fill the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, FILLING .

-- If necessary, fill engine oil.

-- Connect the battery. Refer to BATTERY .

-- Adjust the selector lever cable. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, CHECKING [For transmission(s) 0C8] .

-- Fill the ATF. Refer to ATF LEVEL, CHECKING [For transmission(s) 0C8] .

-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- Perform a vehicle system test. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- End the vehicle system test in such a way that possibly existing Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) entries are automatically erased.

-- Create the readiness code with a road test.

Always observe all safety precautions when performing the road test.

-- Perform another vehicle system test and correct any faults.

NOTE:

If, during the road test, it is discovered that the steering wheel is not exactly straight when driving in a straight line, then perform an axle alignment. Refer to WHEEL ALIGNMENT .
