Removal And Installation

NOTE:
To prevent possible damage to the third row seat or the safety belts, make sure that the safety belts are not fastened when moving the seat to the load floor position.
NOTE:
Make sure that no objects such as books, purses or briefcases are on the floor in front of the third row seats or on the seat cushion before lowering the backrest(s). Failure to follow this instruction may cause incorrect operation of the seat.
NOTE:
The third row seat backrests must be in the raised position for removal of the third row seats.
NOTE:
LH shown, RH similar.

Remove the cargo space panel.- 1.
Remove the LH and RH bolts.
- 2.
Remove the cargo space panel by pulling upward.

For a power-fold seat with inoperative motor, do the following to raise the backrest to the upright position:- Insert an appropriate tool in the torque shaft at the outboard side of the third row power seat motor and rotate to raise the seat backrest.
- 11.
For a power-fold seat with a seized motor, do the following to to raise the backrest to the upright position:- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Position the power seat motor assembly aside.
- 12.
For a power-fold seat with a seized motor, do the following to to raise the backrest to the upright position:- Insert an appropriate tool in the torque shaft at the outboard side of the third row power seat motor and rotate to raise the seat backrest.
- 13.
If equipped, disconnect the power-fold seat motor electrical connector and detach the wire harness.
- 15.NOTE: Do not scuff the safety belt buckles when removing the 60 percent seat.
Lift and remove the seat from the vehicle.
- For 60 percent seat, raise the seat support bar over the safety belt buckles.
- To install, align the 2 locator pins to the holes in the floor.
- For installation, make sure the gasket is positioned to the locator pins.
