Oil Cooler, Removing And Installing: Removing
When doing any repair work, especially in the engine compartment, pay attention to the following due to clearance issues:
- Route lines of all types (for example for fuel, hydraulic, EVAP canister system, coolant and refrigerant, brake fluid, vacuum) and electrical wiring so that the original path is followed.
- To prevent damage to the lines, make sure there is sufficient clearance to all moving or hot components.
-- Remove the front noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .
-- Remove the front bumper. Refer to BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the impact member. Refer to OVERVIEW - IMPACT MEMBER .
-- Clamp off the suction hose and return hose using the Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm: 3094 -1-.
-- Open the hose clamps -1- and move them to the side.
-- Disconnect the intake hose and return hose from the oil cooler.
-- Remove the bolt -arrow- for the oil cooler bracket -2- and remove the bracket.
-- Remove the upper cooler module bolts -arrow- on both sides.
-- Remove the lower left cooler module bolts -A-.
-- Slide the oil cooler -1- to the left in the direction of -arrow- out of the retainers -arrows-.
-- Press the cooler module toward the rear while turning the oil cooler so that it can be removed forward through the guide -arrow-.
