Night Vision System Camera, Removing And Installing: Notes

Special Tools And Workshop Equipment Required

Torque Wrench 1783 - 2-10Nm:VAG1783
Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm:3094

Removing

-- Remove the front lock carrier cover. Refer to LOCK CARRIER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the right and left bolts for the front bumper cover.

-- If installed, remove the left and right air intake connections in direction of -arrows-.

-- Remove the bolt -1- and remove the bracket -2-.

-- Release the clamp -arrow-, and remove the washer fluid hose -1-.

-- Clamp off the washer fluid hose at a suitable location using :3094 .

-- Remove the horn with the bracket from the front end and set aside. Refer to HORN .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- For the following work the front bumper cover is pulled slightly forward.

-- Remove the Night Vision System Camera -R212- with the retaining plate from the front bumper cover and guide upward. Pay attention that the spray nozzle is not damaged.

-- Disconnect the connector to the Night Vision System Camera -R212-.

-- Remove the bolts -1- through -3- and remove the Night Vision System Camera -R212- from the retaining plate.
