Mount With Free-Running Hub On A/C Compressor, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Observe safety precautions when working on the high voltage system. Refer to HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .

-- Pay attention to safety precautions for working near high voltage components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS NEAR HIGH VOLTAGE COMPONENTS .

-- See notes. Refer to WORKING ON REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT .

-- Extract the refrigerant using the A/C Service Station, only then open the refrigerant circuit.

NOTE:

The tightening specification for bolts on the refrigerant lines to the Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor is 20 ± 3 Nm.

-- Remove the A/C compressor.

-- Secure the A/C compressor in a vise with claw protectors.

-- Remove the cap from the free-running hub.

-- Insert the :3400  -1- into the A/C compressor free-running hub using a 17 mm wrench. Insert the M10 socket -2- into the A/C compressor shaft.

-- Turn the wrench to the left to loosen the threaded connection. Counterhold the reversible ratchet -2- at the same time.
