Gearshift Cable And Selector Cable, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Secure the shift cable and selector cable on the shift housing with lock washers -2 and 3-.

-- Push the shift cable -1- and selector cable -4- on the gearshift lever and selector lever in the gearshift housing.

-- Install the base plate with new seal on the shift housing -arrows-. Refer to Figure.

-- Install the gearshift mechanism. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Adjust the gearshift mechanism. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, ADJUSTING .
