Bevel Box, Installing: Notes

Install In Reverse Order Of Removal. Note The Following: 

-- Rotate the flange shaft and attach the bevel box with the flange shaft to the transmission at the same time.

-- Attach the bevel box to the transmission with 4 new bolts. Tightening specification. Refer to Tightening Specifications .

-- Install the bolts -1 and 2- for securing the bevel box bracket hand-tight.

-- Follow the tightening sequence:

1. Tighten the bolts -2-.
2. Tighten the bolts -1-.

-- Install the right drive axle. Refer to DRIVE AXLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the bevel box on the driveshaft. Refer to DRIVESHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the front exhaust pipe and catalytic converter. Refer to CATALYTIC CONVERTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING / EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS .

-- Install the subframe and steering gear. Refer to the appropriate service information SUBFRAME WITH STEERING GEAR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING / SUBFRAME WITHOUT STEERING GEAR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Check oil level in bevel box and fill. Refer to AXLE OIL IN BEVEL BOX, INSTALLING .

-- Install the noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION .
