Comfort System Central Control Module -J393-, Removing And Installing: Removing

A4, A5 Coupe and A5 Sportback:

-- Loosen the left luggage compartment side trim panel at the bottom:

A4 Sedan, A5 Coupe, A5 Sportback: removing the tie downs. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANELS .
A4 Avant: remove the luggage compartment floor support. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANELS .

A5 Cabriolet:

-- Remove the relay and fuse panel 2. Refer to RELAY PANELS, FUSE PANELS AND E-BOXES .

Continuation:

-- Open the cover for the left luggage compartment side trim panel.

-- Release the retainer -1-.

-- Remove the bracket -2- for the control modules upward -arrow-.

-- Remove the nut -3-.

-- Release the retainer -A arrow-.

-- Remove the mount -1- upward.

-- Release the retainer -arrow B- and remove the guide -4- from the body -arrow C-.

-- Remove the bracket -2- for the central control module.

-- Disconnect the connectors -1, 2, 3, 4 and 6-.
