Engine, Securing On Engine And Transmission Holder
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Lifting Tackle:3033
- Engine And Transmission Holder:VAS6095 with Engine/Transmission Holder - Universal Mounting:VAS6095/1 and Engine/Transmission Holder - V6 TDI Bracket :VAS6095/1-11
- Shop Crane:VAS6100
- Lift Arm Extension:VAS6101
Procedure
- Engine/transmission assembly removed and separated on :VAS6131B . Refer to ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION, SEPARATING .
- Engine secured with :VAS6131/13-7 .
-- Attach the :VAS6101 to the :VAS6100 .
-- Engage the :3033 on the engine lifting eyes and on the shop crane as shown in the illustration.
-- Tension engine slightly with shop crane, do not raise.
-- Version 2 of electrohydraulic engine mount solenoid valves only: Disconnect the left and right connector -3- from the Left Electrohydraulic Engine Mount Solenoid Valve -N144- / Right Electrohydraulic Engine Mount Solenoid Valve -N145-.
Ignore items -1 and 2-.
-- Remove the left and right bolt -2- from the engine mount.
Ignore item -1-.
-- Remove the :VAS6131/13-7 from the engine.
-- Raise engine from engine carrier.
-- Free up the wires.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the left engine support.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the right engine support.
-- Secure the starter on the engine.
Ignore item -1-.
-- Secure the engine to the :VAS6095 using the :VAS6095/1 and :VAS6095/1-11 and tighten to 40 Nm, as illustrated.
