Engine And Engine Compartment Components, Checking For Leaks And Damage From Top To Bottom
-- Remove the engine cover, if necessary. Refer to UPPER ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Perform visual check as follows:
-- Check engine and components in engine compartment for leaks and damage.
-- Check hoses, pipes and connections of
- Fuel system
- Heating and ventilation system
- Lubrication system
- A/C system
- Air intake system
- Brake system
for leaks, abrasions, porosity and brittleness.
NOTE:
Make sure the all malfunctions detected are rectified within repair measures.
Determine cause of fluid loss which cannot be attributed to normal use and rectify (repair measure).
