Selector Mechanism Overview, From 03.2009
WARNING:
Move the selector lever into the "P" position and set the parking brake before working with the engine running.
- Selector Handle with Cover
- Do not remove the handle unnecessarily. For emergency release, only cover must be removed. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER, MANUAL RELEASE .
- Button on the side: Pull the button out of the handle just far enough until there is a small gap between the handle and the button. The button will lock in this position once it is released. Prevent the button from being pressed in using a cable tie or wire.
- Button in the front: The button is locked in its installed position when the handle is removed.
- Removing and installing. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER HANDLE .

- With the shift lock solenoid.
- Do not grease cable.
- Removing and installing. Refer to the following:
- Checking. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, CHECKING .
- Adjusting. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, ADJUSTING .
- Bolt
- 8 Nm.
- Nut
- 8 Nm.
- Quantity: 4
- Selector Housing
- Lock Washer
- Always replace after removing.
