Lane Change Assistance, Calibrating, Dynamic Calibration
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
Calibration/Adjustment must be Performed if:
- "No or incorrect basic setting/adaptation" is actively entered in the DTC memory of the Lane Change Assistance Control Module -J769- / Lane Change Assistance Control Module 2 -J770-.
- The Lane Change Assistance Control Module -J769- and/or Lane Change Assistance Control Module 2 -J770- has/have been removed and installed or replaced.
- The rear bumper cover was removed and installed or replaced.
- The rear bumper cover was painted near the control modules while installed.
Procedure
-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
-- Switch the ignition on.
-- Select the Test plan tab.
-- Select the Individual tests button.
Dynamic Calibration for Lane Change Assistance Control Module
-- Select the following items in the tree structure one after the other:
- Diagnostic-capable systems
- 00CF - Lane Change Assistance Control Module 2 -J770-
- 00CF - Lane Change Assistance Control Module 2 functions
- 00CF - Calibration
-- Start the selected program and based on the calibration from a short drive, follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester display.
Dynamic Calibration of Several Driver Assistance Systems
When driving the vehicle for calibration, the lane change assistance control modules can also be calibrated together with the front corner radar control modules; to do so, select the following items in the tree structure:
- Diagnostic-capable systems
- 00CF - Lane Change Assistance Control Module 2 -J770-
- 00CF - Lane Change Assistance Control Module 2 functions
- 00CF - Dynamic Calibration of all Driver Assistance Systems
-- Start the selected program and based on the calibration from a short drive, follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester display.
After Successful Calibration
-- Switch off the ignition.
-- Disconnect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester from the data link connector.
