Battery, Disconnecting And Connecting, In Engine Compartment: Connecting
After connecting the Battery -A- and switching the ignition on, the ASR/ESP Indicator Lamp -K155- stays turned on. The ASR/ESP Indicator Lamp -K155- turns off automatically if driving straight at 15 to 20 km/h. This reactivates the Steering Angle Sensor -G85-.
-- If equipped, then release and disconnect the connector -5- from the Battery Monitoring Control Module -J367- -3-.
-- Connect the battery ground cable terminal clamp -4- to the negative terminal of the Battery -A- -6-.
-- Tighten the nut from the battery ground cable clamp -4- to the tightening specification.
-- If equipped, then reconnect the connector -5- to the Battery Monitoring Control Module -J367- -3-.
-- Close the battery jacket or put on the battery case cover and lock it.
-- Switch the ignition on.
-- Check the time and if necessary adjust.
-- Open and close the windows all the way.
-- Then, with the windows closed, pull the power window switch until the relay audibly switches.
-- Check the window regulator convenience switch.
While operating the convenience switch, the window must close without holding down the power window switch.
After connecting the power supply, the ASR/ESP Indicator Lamp -K155- may only go out after the vehicle has been driven a few yards.
