The selector mechanism and the selector lever cable cannot be separated from each other. Both are removed at the same time.

Remove the center console inside the passenger compartment.

Attach a cord/wire to the cable prior to removal. The cord/wire is used to remove and install the cable between the tunnel and the heat shield.

The selector mechanism with selector lever cable can be removed and installed together with the selector housing. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM WITH HOUSING, FROM 03.2009 .
