Engine, Supporting In Installed Position

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Engine Support Bridge, Positioning

-- Remove the radiator grille, refer to RADIATOR GRILLE/FRONT TRIM .

-- Remove the upper air guide -A-.

-- Slide the Engine Support - Basic Set - Moveable Joint T40091/3 as well as the Engine Support Bridge - Engine Support 310-222A/3 onto the square pipe of the Engine Support Bridge 10-222A.

-- Attach the Engine Support Bridge - Engine Bracket 10-222A/1 onto the square pipe.

-- Position the engine support bridge as shown in the figure.

NOTE:

Do not place the Engine Support Bridge - Engine Bracket 10-222A/1 on the fender panels. The fender will get damaged.

-- Slide the Engine Support - Supplement Kit - Mount T40093/3 and a Spindle onto the Engine Support - Supplement Kit - Square Pipe T40091/1.

-- Place the Engine Support - Supplement Kit - Mount T40093/3 on the bumper carrier and slide the Engine Support - Supplement Kit - Square Pipe T40091/1 into the Engine Support - Basic Set - Moveable Joint T40091/3.

-- Align the engine support bridge and tighten all bolted connections hand-tight.

-- Attach the hooks on the spindle to the lifting eyes on the engine and hold the engine in its installed position.
