Engine Cover

Removing

CAUTION:

The bracket for attaching the engine cover to the cylinder head could break if removed incorrectly. Always follow these steps to remove the engine cover.

-- Pull the engine cover out of the mounts in these areas -arrows- and in the sequence shown. Reach as far as possible under the engine cover.

Installing

CAUTION:

Check the position of the 4 mounting elements (ball sockets) before installing the engine cover. Bring them back into the correct position if necessary. Otherwise the engine cover will be damaged.

-- Press the ball sockets on the engine cover into the correct position, if necessary.

-- Position the engine cover on the ball studs and press down on the cover in the corners until secure.
