INSPECTION SERVICE REMINDER, "INSPECT NOW" MESSAGE

2014 Beetle, Beetle Convertible, CC, Golf/GTI, Eos, Jetta, Jetta SportWagen, Passat, Tiguan - Inspection Service Reminder, "Inspect Now" Message 

If an "Inspect Now" message is displayed in the vehicle's MFI, check the value of the inspection service reminder. Note that the inspection service reminder is different than the oil change service reminder and is reset independently from the oil change service reminder.

To reset the inspection service reminder after completing an inspection service  , perform the applicable procedure below. These procedures can also be found in the vehicle owner's manual.

Vehicle with Premium display in instrument cluster (with steering wheel or windshield wiper lever controls for MFI): 

1. Switch OFF the ignition.
2. Switch ON the emergency flashers.
3. Press and hold the 0.0/SET button in the instrument cluster.
4. Switch ON the ignition.
5. Release the 0.0/SET button.
6. A confirmation message appears in the display.
7. Confirm request with the OK button on the multifunction steering wheel or the OK/RESET button in the windshield wiper lever (if equipped).
8. Switch OFF the emergency flashers.

Vehicle with basic display in instrument cluster (without steering wheel or windshield wiper lever controls for MFI): 

1. Switch OFF the ignition.
2. Switch ON the emergency flashers.
3. Push the 0.0/SET button in the instrument cluster and hold down.
4. Switch ON the ignition.
5. Release the 0.0/SET button and push the button in the instrument cluster within about 20 seconds.
6. Switch OFF the emergency flashers.
