Cooling Output Temperature, Checking

Checking

-- Close the hood.

-- Measure the ambient temperature.

-- Close doors, window and sunroof.

-- Open all instrument panel vents.

-- Set the A/C system temperature to "cold".

-- Set the air distribution to the center vent.

-- Keep the temperature sensor -2- approximately 20 mm -3- into the shown air vent -1- area.

-- Turn on the A/C system by pressing the AC  button.

-- Start the engine.

NOTE:

Start of time measurement (five minutes).

-- Bring engine speed to 2, 000 RPM and hold it there.

Evaluate

Depending on the ambient temperature, the temperature of the air coming out of the "driver side" vents must be within the tolerance range (see diagram) after five minutes.
