Shift Unit Overview
NOTE:
Lubricate the bearing areas and the sliding surfaces.
For the correct grease allocation, refer to the Parts Information.
- Shift Unit
- Consisting of the shift shaft and the shift cover.
- The components cannot be separated from each other.
- O-ring
- Insert in the groove in the shift cover.
- Install using transmission fluid.
- Always replace
- Alignment Sleeve
- For centering the shift unit to the transmission housing.
- Selector Shaft Seal
- Removing and installing, refer to SELECTOR SHAFT SEAL .
- Cap
- For the transmission ventilation.
- Locking Pin
- For adjusting the shift mechanism. Refer to SHIFT MECHANISM, ADJUSTING .
- Removing, refer to Figure.
- Installing, refer to Figure.
- Bushing
- For the gear shift shaft.
- Removing and installing, see -item 5- in TRANSMISSION HOUSING .
