Radios And Radio Navigation Systems: Removal

Do the following before starting the procedure:

-- Remove any CD's still in the unit. Refer to the Owner's Manual.

-- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.

-- Remove trim in center of instrument panel. Refer to Removal and Installation .

-- Remove the screws -arrows- from the radio.

-- Pull the radio out just far enough until the connectors on the back are accessible.

Connectors -1- through -6- :

Multi-pin connector, connector housing

2 -

Connector, navigation antenna

3 -

Connector, radio antenna

4 -

Connector, radio antenna

5 -

Multi-pin connector for video signals

6 -

Connector, rearview camera video signal

NOTE:

The number and location of the connections on the unit will vary between the different radios and radio/navigation systems.

-- Squeeze the tabs on the multi-pin connector -arrow-.

-- Move the retainer in direction of the -arrow-. The connector will be pushed out at the same time.

-- Push the retainer -A- onto the audio/video connector and move the mount in direction -B-. The connector will be pushed out at the same time.

-- Unlock the antenna connections -arrows- and disconnect the connectors.
