Traction Control System
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2011 Mercury Milan, 2011 Lincoln MKZ, and 2011 Ford Fusion. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The traction control system aids in the prevention of excessive wheel spin which allows the vehicle to maintain traction during acceleration. This is accomplished by the ABS module and the HCU modulating brake fluid pressure to the affected brake caliper(s) and by the PCM modulating engine torque.
