B103A - Rear Mode Door Control Circuit/Performance: Notes
For a complete wiring diagram, refer to appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS information.
Theory of Operation
The A/C heater control drives the rear mode door actuator with the rear mode door driver circuit and the common door driver circuit. The A/C heater control drives the rear blend door actuator with the rear blend door driver circuit and the common door driver circuit. Due to the shared circuitry, similar DTCs can set at the same time for multiple actuators depending on the type of short its location and the direction the actuator is moving when the short is present.
- >>When Monitored:<< With the ignition on.
- >>Set Condition:<< If the A/C heater control detects a short on the rear mode door driver circuit, or the rear common door driver circuit while attempting to drive the rear mode door actuator.
Possible Causes
---
REAR MODE DOOR DRIVER CIRCUIT C153 SHORTED TO VOLTAGE, TO GROUND, OR TO OTHER DOOR DRIVER CIRCUITS
REAR COMMON DOOR DRIVER CIRCUIT C34 SHORTED TO VOLTAGE, TO GROUND, OR TO OTHER DOOR DRIVER CIRCUITS
REAR MODE DOOR ACTUATOR
A/C HEATER CONTROL
NOTE:
The DTC must be active for the results of this test to be valid. Do not perform this test if the DTC is stored. for stored DTC test procedures.
