Continued for All Engines
There is a danger of ice-up.
Refrigerant leaks out if refrigerant circuit is not discharged.
Refrigerant must be extracted before opening the refrigerant circuit. If refrigerant circuit is not opened within 10 minutes of extraction, pressure may form in refrigerant circuit due to evaporation. Extract refrigerant once more.
-- Extract refrigerant using Robinair A/C Service Unit ROB134APF, only then open the refrigerant circuit. See notes, refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT OVERVIEW .
-- Remove the ribbed belt, refer to [For transmission(s) 0A4, 09G] [For engine(s) CBTA, CBUA] Removal and Installation[For transmission(s) 02E] [For engine(s) CDVB] Removal and Installation[For transmission(s) 0A4, 02E, 02Q] [For engine(s) CKRA] Removal and Installation[For engine(s) CPRA, CPKA] Removal and Installation or[For transmission(s) 0A4, 09G] [For engine(s) CBTA, CBUA] Removal and Installation[For transmission(s) 02E] [For engine(s) CDVB] Removal and Installation[For transmission(s) 0A4, 02E, 02Q] [For engine(s) CKRA] Removal and Installation[For engine(s) CPRA, CPKA] Removal and Installation .
-- Remove the noise insulation under the engine, refer to Description and Operation .
-- Remove the bolts (22 Nm ± 1 Nm) -1- from the A/C compressor and then disconnect the refrigerant pipes from the A/C compressor.
-- Remove the hex bolts (23 Nm) -2- and the A/C compressor.
