Heated Oxygen Sensor G39

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Ring Spanner 7-Piece Set (3337)

Removing

- Remove the air filter housing and connecting pipe.

- Disconnect the black connector - 1 - for the heated oxygen sensor.






- Free up the heated oxygen sensor wire.

- Remove the heated oxygen sensor - 1 -.






Installing

- When reusing an oxygen sensor, only grease the threads with hot bolt paste (G 052 112 A3). Do not let the paste enter the slits on the oxygen sensor body.

- Install the heated oxygen sensor - 1 - into the bank 1 exhaust pipe. Identifying feature: black connector.

Tightening specification: 50 Nm

- Route the wires again as they originally were.

Further installation is in the reverse order of removal.
