Engine Speed Sensor -G28-: Removing

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

Component location, refer to -item 4- in the DUAL MASS FLYWHEEL AND SEALING FLANGE OVERVIEW .

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to Removal and Installation .

-- Disconnect the coolant hoses from the engine oil cooler, clamp off the hoses using the Hose Clamps - Up To 25 mm 3094.

-- Loosen the spring clamps -arrows- with the Hose Clip Pliers VAS6362.

NOTE:

Collect any leaking fluid with the Shop Crane - Drip Tray VAS6208.

-- Remove the coolant hoses from the engine oil cooler.

-- Remove the oil filter bracket and engine oil cooler. Refer to OIL FILTER BRACKET WITH OIL COOLER .

-- Release and disconnect the connector from the Engine Speed Sensor -G28- using the Elbow Assembly Tool T10118.

-- Loosen the bolt -arrow- using the Hex Socket - 4 mm T10370 and remove the Engine Speed Sensor -G28-.
