Transmission, Transporting And Securing To Assembly Stand

Always secure heavy parts when transporting.

Remember there is oil in the transmission. Do not turn the transmission with the vents facing downward when transporting or when it is on the assembly stand. The oil will leak out.

NOTE:

Remove the bleed caps if necessary and use oil-tight plugs.

-- Use appropriate lifting tools, for example part of Lifting Tackle 2024A and shackle 10-222A/12 (not illustrated).

The transmission can also be lifted using the Transmission Support Jig 3336.

Example: Secure the Transmission on the Mounting Bracket.
