Bulkhead Assembly Overview

Torque wrench 5 to 50 Nm V.A.G 1331
Cartridge heater V.A.G 1939
Cartridge gun V.A.G 1628

Materials

1K window adhesive

Glass primer/paint primer

Cleaning solution

⁽¹⁾	Heat according to manufacturer's instructions using cartridge heater V.A.G 1939

⁽²⁾	Materials are stored in box D 004 700.

Note that the minimum curing time is 2 hours, refer to MINIMUM CURING TIME FOR BONDED WINDOWS .

NOTE:

The bulkhead -1- is bolted and additionally reinforced with 1K window adhesive -3-.

Bulkhead
- Removing:
  -- Using workshop tools, cut through bead of adhesive -3- after removing screws -2-.
Body flange
PUR adhesive sealant
- 1K window adhesive
- Bead diameter: width = 8 mm, height = 10 mm
- Minimum curing time: 2 hours
Bolt
- Quantity: 10
- Tightening specification: 25 Nm
