Steering Lock Housing

• Always follow the instructions regarding disconnecting and connecting the battery. Refer to => [ Battery (A), Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery (A), Disconnecting and Connecting.

• The steering lock could get damaged.

• If the steering lock is operated without lock cylinder, it will lock up and then it will have to be replaced.

• Steering lock must not be operated without lock cylinder.

The steering column switch base carrier must be removed first in order to remove the steering lock housing.

Removing

- Disconnect the battery. Refer to => [ Disconnecting ] Disconnecting.

- Remove the steering column switch base carrier. Refer to => [ Steering Column Switch Module Components ] Steering Column Switch Module Components.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Connect the battery. Refer to => [ Connecting ] Connecting.
