Draining And Filling

Procedure 

-- Turn off the engine.

-- Remove the Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) plug from the pan -arrow- .

-- Remove the overflow tube -1- from the hole.

-- Drain the ATF.

-- Reinstall the overflow tube.

-- Install the adapter for oil filling VAS 6262 A to the fluid container. Be sure to read the instructions. Refer to Note the following information: .

-- Install and tighten the adapter for filling ATF oil VAS 6262/2 into the plug hole hand tight.

-- Fill with three liters of ATF.

NOTE:

On some older transmissions with a filler tube -arrow- , the ATF can be filled using the filler tube.

-- Remove the adapter for filling ATF oil VAS 6262/2 from the pan and install the ATF plug with the current seal.

-- Move the selector lever into the "P" position.

-- Start the engine, shift through all selector lever positions, you must remain in each position approximately 10 seconds.

-- Check the ATF level and add if necessary. Refer to ATF LEVEL, CHECKING AND FILLING .
