It is not possible to order a trailer hitch to be installed on a vehicle after it has left the factory.
The Polo Fun can be retrofitted with a trailer hitch.
Trailer hitches approved for the Polo from MY 2002 may be installed.
Volkswagen AG cannot provide an installation guide for installing a trailer hitch in the Polo Fun.
Volkswagen AG cannot provide a template for the exact position and size of the opening in the bumper.
Installation instructions and a description for retrofitting the Polo Fun with a trailer hitch should be requested from the hitch manufacturer, if necessary.
A vehicle that does not list any towing weights in the vehicle registration is retrofitted with a trailer hitch, the vehicle must be presented to an official motor vehicle assessor for inspection.
