If the Engine Control Module will be replaced, connect the vehicle diagnostic tester and perform the "Replacing Engine Control Module" guided function.

Removing

- Turn off the ignition.

- Remove the windshield wiper arms, the plenum chamber cover and the plenum chamber bulkhead.

- Push the retaining frame in the - direction of the arrow - downward and remove the ECM.






- Push the retainers in the - direction of the arrow - and disconnect the connector.






Installing

- Connect the connector to the ECM and push the retainers all the way in the - direction of the arrow -.






- Mount the ECM into the retaining frame and push it in the - direction of the arrow - upward.






- Install the windshield wiper arms, the plenum chamber cover and the plenum chamber bulkhead.
