Selector Lever Cable, Adjusting: Notes

Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) VAG1331
- The selector mechanism and selector lever cable must move easily when shifting.
- The selector lever cable boot must be undamaged.
Selector Lever Cable Must Always be Adjusted If:
- The selector lever cable was removed from the transmission.
- The engine and/or transmission were removed and installed.
- The engine/transmission mounts were removed and installed.
- The selector lever cable and the selector mechanism were removed and installed.
- Engine/transmission position changes, for example, were installed free of tension.
