Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) V.A.G 1331
- Torque Wrench (40-200 Nm) V.A.G 1332
- Engine/Transmission Jack V.A.G 1383 A

Removing
-- Remove the reducing agent tank. Refer to REDUCING AGENT (ADBLUE®) TANK .
Protect the connectors, for example with a plastic bag and cable tie, before using the reducing agent. The electrical connectors can be damaged because the reducing agent has a tendency to seep and it crystallizes as it dries.
-- Disconnect the ventilation line -arrow-.
-- Remove the bolts -A- and remove the reducing agent pump -V437- upward.
-- Cut off the cable ties -arrows- on the locking ring.
-- Disconnect the connector -arrow- from the right side of the tank.
-- Disconnect the connector -arrow- from the reducing agent reservoir processing unit -G698-.
-- Place the special wrench T50014 on the locking ring as illustrated and remove it.
The cover may only be tilted a maximum of 30° after opening it. This prevents damage to the wires and the suction line inside the delivery module.
-- Open the delivery module cover, using the trim removal wedge 3409, if necessary.
-- Carefully reach into the delivery module chamber and turn it counterclockwise to loosen it from its retainer.
-- Remove the delivery module upward from the tank.
Installing
-- Place the seal -item 9- REDUCING AGENT (ADBLUE®) DELIVERY MODULE OVERVIEW in the tank opening.
-- Insert the delivery module into the tank according to the marks -A-. The marks -A- must align when inserting the module.
-- Carefully reach into the delivery module chamber and rotate it clockwise to secure it. The marks -B- will align when it is installed correctly.
-- Lubricate the sealing base on the cover with water and carefully press it into the seal. The marks -1- must align.
-- Set the seal in place and tighten it by hand.
Make sure the seal is not installed crooked on the tank threads. Otherwise it will leak and result in serious corrosion damage.
-- Place the special wrench T50014 on the locking ring as illustrated and tighten it. Tightening specification, see -item 7- REDUCING AGENT (ADBLUE®) DELIVERY MODULE OVERVIEW .
-- Wash any leaking reducing agent off with water.
The rest of the installation is basically a reverse of the removal sequence.
