Engine, Installing
When doing any repair work, especially in the engine compartment, pay attention to the following due to clearance issues:
- Route lines of all types (for example, fuel, hydraulic, Evaporative Emission (EVAP), coolant, refrigerant, brake fluid and vacuum) and electrical wiring so that the original path is followed.
- To prevent damage to the lines, make sure there is sufficient clearance to all moving or hot components.
Installation is performed in reverse order. When doing this note the following:
-- Make sure the centering sleeves for the engine to transmission are installed in the cylinder block. Install if necessary.
-- Reconnect all lines, hoses and connections that were disconnected for the removal sequence.
-- Electrical connections and routing..
-- Connect the Air Conditioning (A/C) lines.
-- Top off the fluid level for the power steering. Refer to Fluid Capacity Tables.
-- Fill the coolant. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING .
-- Check the headlamp adjustment, correct if necessary.
-- Perform a test drive and check all Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memories. Refer to "Guided Fault Finding" in the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051 or VAS 5052.
