Transmission, Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. However, important steps are listed here:
-- Inspect the needle bearing -arrow- in the crankshaft. If it is damaged or has blue tarnish, it must be replaced. Refer to [For engine(s) BUB] CRANKSHAFT NEEDLE BEARING or [For engine(s) BPY] CRANKSHAFT NEEDLE BEARINGS or [For engine(s) CCTA, CBFA] CRANKSHAFT NEEDLE BEARINGS .
-- If it is not damaged, lubricate lightly it with high-temperature grease G052133A2.
-- Transmission pins (not splines) must also be lightly lubricated.
-- Make sure the locating sleeves are seated correctly between engine and transmission.
-- Check correct seating of intermediate plate.
Engine and transmission must be brought together by hand until both flanges touch all around!
If this is not the case, it will not run correctly!
-- Adjust transmission mount until engine and transmission are aligned.
-- Guide selector lever cable into the cable mounting bracket as soon as possible.
Check cable when raising the transmission. Do not fail to place it in the cable mounting bracket early.
Do not grease the cable.
-- Selector the lever cable lock washers must be reconditioned.
-- Always adjust the selector lever cable. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE ADJUSTING, THROUGH 02.2009 .
-- Check the coolant level and fill if necessary. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING .
